Inner Fork Tubes (Chrome Stanchions)

(787 products)

Inner fork tubes, also known as chrome fork stanchions, are a critical part of the motorcycle front suspension. They provide a smooth sliding surface for fork seals and bushings, allowing the suspension to work correctly under braking, cornering, and uneven road conditions.

Worn, pitted, or bent inner fork tubes can cause oil leaks, reduced suspension performance, and accelerated seal wear. Replacing damaged stanchions is recommended during fork rebuilds, crash repairs, or when restoring proper front-end handling.

Our range of inner fork tubes includes precision-manufactured chrome stanchions designed to meet OEM dimensions for accurate fit and long service life. These tubes are suitable for professional suspension service as well as performance restoration on street, sport, and adventure motorcycles.

⚠️ Important – Inner Fork Tubes Are Typically Sold Individually

Most inner fork tubes are sold as one (1) piece. If you are replacing both fork legs, please order two (2) units to complete the pair.

Recommended for a Complete Fork Service

For best performance and reliability, we strongly recommend servicing the fork at the same time as replacing inner tubes. This helps prevent premature seal wear, reduces friction, and restores smooth suspension action.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are inner fork tubes?
Inner fork tubes are chrome-plated stanchions that slide inside the outer fork tubes. Their surface condition directly affects seal life, fork smoothness, and suspension performance.

When should inner fork tubes be replaced?
Replace inner fork tubes if the chrome is pitted, scratched, bent, or if you have repeated fork seal leaks. Damaged stanchions can quickly destroy new seals.

Should I replace seals and bushings at the same time?
Yes. When replacing inner tubes, it is best practice to install new oil seals, dust seals, and inspect or replace bushings. This ensures correct fit, reduces friction, and improves long-term reliability.
