Outer Fork Tubes (Fork Legs)

(209 products)

Outer fork tubes, also referred to as fork legs, are a critical part of the motorcycle front suspension. They house the inner fork tubes (chrome stanchions) and guide suspension movement while supporting the front axle and brake mounts.

If an outer fork tube is damaged, bent, or worn, it can lead to poor handling, increased friction, misalignment, and premature fork seal wear. Replacing outer fork tubes is recommended during crash repairs, suspension overhauls, or when restoring proper front-end geometry and smooth fork action.

⚠️ Important – Sold Individually (1 Piece)

Most outer fork tubes are sold as one (1) piece. If you are replacing both fork legs, please order two (2) units to complete the pair.

Recommended for a Complete Fork Service

For best performance, safety, and long service life, we strongly recommend servicing the fork at the same time as replacing outer fork tubes. This helps ensure correct fit, reduces friction, and prevents premature seal leaks.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are outer fork tubes?
Outer fork tubes, commonly called fork legs, are the lower parts of the front suspension that hold the axle and brake mounts and guide the movement of the inner fork tubes.

When should outer fork tubes be replaced?
Replace outer fork tubes if they are bent, cracked, or damaged after a crash, or if wear causes binding or repeated seal failures.

Should I replace fork seals and bushings at the same time?
Yes. When installing outer fork tubes, it is best practice to replace oil seals and inspect or replace bushings to ensure smooth suspension action and long-term reliability.
